Fever's Dr Mohammed Sattar wins APNA NHS Award for Outstanding Contribution in the Voluntary or Charity Sector 2024
Dr Mo Sattar joined Fever Radio as a community broadcaster in 2018. A community station and comm unit interest group. His contribution is totally voluntary. His debut was co-host with a fellow doctor and psychiatrist colleague, Ajit Kumar. But following the departure of his lead host he took charge of this weekly slot and rebranded to the health matters show. Over the years he has hosted tens of guests not only shedding a light on health issues but also educational or social matters too.
He seeks to inspire the younger generations inviting inspirational guests many of whome are APNA memebers. Throughout the pandemic he says radio saved my life. He served as the credible voice during a time of vaccine hesitancy and great uncertainty. More recent campaigns have included hospice care and chronic kidney disease. His drivetime show draws in listeners due to his carefullyselected playlist in which he often educates us on the artists, meanings and history of South Asia.
