A NORTH Leeds community radio station is celebrating its 8th anniversary - with an ambitious plan to go visual. Radio Asian Fever, which serves the South Asian community in Leeds from its base on Roundhay Road, first launched on March 1, 2007. Station founder Jabbar Karim said there are plans this year to launch a live streaming of shows so that its 60,000-strong listener base can also watch the action. He said: “We have superstars coming in for interviews and have debates in the studio. So people will be able to watch as well as listen.” Radio Asian Fever is on 107.3FM or www.radioasianfever.co.uk. Its presenters are all volunteers who are trained by the station.
