Length of training

Up to 12 months

 

Training allowance

£11,000 per annum (paid monthly, pro rata)

 

 

Special requirement

Leeds resident. Graduate and/or ‘A’ level educated preferred.

Be able to speak a South Asian language (e.g. Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi)

Working hours will need to be flexible on occasion

 

Description

 

You will need to have some experience and knowledge of administrative duties and ICT software package including Face book, Twitter and YouTube. This role provides many opportunities to learn and develop while satisfying a varied workload. You should be able to demonstrate some experience in a similar administrative and/or ICT environment and have some practical knowledge and skills to match. Love for Asian music would be an advantage.

As a Admin Officer you will be required to:

Liaise with Leeds City Council and funders in delivering their campaigns, which include carrying out detailed monitoring of campaigns and compiling reports as and when required.

Assist with maintaining and updating the Fever FM website, including its streaming broadcast facility, links sections and automation play out system.

Maintain hardware in the station offices and support those using equipment

Maintain and update our vast Asian music library, including editing

Assist with live broadcasting and presenting shows

Varied and general office duties including bookings and replying to emails

Carrying out any other administrative duties that may be required for the role

This is a demanding role and requires someone who is flexible with a keen business sense as well as creative flair. An interest in Music and/or Radio would be highly desirable.

TRAINING DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist with the maintenance and update of equipment, software, website and live web streaming of the broadcasts.

Video recording on and off studio premises and video editing.

Review the existing website and make changes to it in order for it to meet the future needs of the station.

Write scripts and record vocals for various requirements, i.e. Jingles, adverts, drama & announcements.

Ensure Fever FM meets the requirements of the Data Protection Act as well as file and store confidential information.

Support the station manager with any administrative responsibilities including written and verbal correspondence.

To assist in the recording, evaluation and storage of monitoring information.

Any other administrative duties that may be required for the role

Further training and experiences may be gained as appropriate, e.g. attending in-house training.

Obtain Job Search skills and Employability skills: training will be made available and trainees are expected to attend.
