Fever FM began as an underground radio station called Apni Awaaz in 1989. The station has now become a distinct entity in Leeds.Programs include discussions as well as entertainment. Fever FM serves all south Asian communities in the city, combatting under-representation and exclusion from mainstream media. They reach out across the cultures,faith groups and their many denominations. Programs are broadcast in English, Urdu, Hindu, Punjabi and Mirpuri. Fever FM also recruits and trains volunteers in presenting skills, technical know-how, IT and life skills.
